What Is IdeaFest?

IdeaFest@TU is Towson University鈥檚 celebration of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. This high-energy event is designed to showcase student ideas, spark collaboration across campus and bring together the TU community in one space to imagine, create and play.

Whether you already have a business idea, are curious about entrepreneurship or simply want to see what your fellow Tigers are dreaming up, you鈥檒l be right at home at IdeaFest.

Who Can Participate?

IdeaFest@TU is open to all members of the TU community 鈥 from any college, any major and any year.

  • Students with developed ideas can participate in poster sessions and roundtables.
  • Curious first timers can dive into design sprints and interactive challenges.
  • Networkers can connect with peers, alumni and invited professionals.
  • Everyone is encouraged to attend, explore and support fellow Tigers.

Note: While this year鈥檚 focus is on TU鈥檚 community, invited professionals and alumni will join as mentors, judges and collaborators.

  • Entrepreneur Keynote: Kick off the afternoon with a local rockstar entrepreneur sharing their journey.
  • Poster Sessions: Explore innovative student projects and vote for your favorites.
  • Roundtables with Experts: Test your ideas with professionals and get feedback that moves you forward.
  • Design Sprints: Jump into fast-paced challenges that stretch your creative problem-solving skills.
  • Networking Opportunities: Build connections with peers, faculty, alumni and local innovators.
  • Prizes: Student participants will have a chance to win recognition (and bragging rights!).
