Tigers:

As we soon will celebrate Thanksgiving, the holiday offers a meaningful moment to pause, reflect and appreciate the many contributions that make our university such a vibrant place to learn, grow and belong. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our students, faculty and staff, as well as to our alumni and the many friends of our university, for making Towson University such an exceptional community.

It has been a fabulous year at TU, filled with many wonderful moments and achievements. Indeed, there has been no shortage of Tiger Pride. Your hard work, commitment to our university and support for one another have given us so much to celebrate and be thankful for.

As an expression of appreciation, and as we all prepare for the upcoming holiday season, the Executive Leadership Team and President’s Cabinet are pleased to announce that the university will be closed, for all but essential personnel and emergency response, for two weeks during the holiday period. TU will be closed beginning Saturday, December 20, 2025 through Sunday, January 4, 2026. The university will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Elaine and I are so grateful to be members of our TU community. We hope that you will enjoy Thanksgiving, as well as the upcoming holiday season, and that you will find time to rest, recharge, and connect with those who matter most.

All the best.

Mark R. Ginsberg, Ph.D.
